In plain language: what Saans stores, where, and what it doesn't do.

No account

You don't need to sign up or log in. We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, age, diagnosis, medication or health history.

What is stored, and where

Your settings (such as preferred length, visual guide, sound and motion choices) are saved in your browser's local storage on this device.

If practice history is on, each session is saved there too: which exercise, when, how long, and whether you finished. The 'how does this moment feel now?' question is never saved.

This information is not sent to us or anyone else. It stays on this device until you clear it.

Your controls

You can turn practice history off, or clear it, in Settings or on the My practice page.

Clearing your browser's site data for this website removes everything Saans has stored.

What we don't do

No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. No cookies are set by the app.

No selling, sharing or renting of personal data — we don't collect it in the first place.

No diagnosis, scoring or interpretation of your mental health.

What still happens

Like any website, the server hosting Saans may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability, under the hosting provider's own policies. These logs contain nothing about your breathing practice.

If you use spoken guidance, your device's built-in speech engine reads the words aloud. On most devices this happens on the device itself; some systems may use an online voice provided by your operating system.

The app can be saved for offline use. That copy is stored by your browser on your device.

Links to other services

Links to helplines, research papers or other websites leave Saans. Those services have their own privacy practices.
